Find Your Cruise
we are cruising on Summit in June, and would like to know the best shore excursions for venice?.Also how far is the airport from the dock?Final question, have heard Summit is in or due for dry dock, but what for? Celeb dont know, they were supposed to let me know but have not returned my calls.Any comments on Celebs custormer service please.
The cabins with the larger verandas are in great demand -they tend to go first. It has a larger veranda than other cabins in the same category. Note that you don't have a view straight down to the water. Your view down is partially blocked by the canvas awnings on the suites below. 172 sq ft with a double size (76 sq ft) balcony.
The Balcony you have I believe is 38sq ft. Depending on what you are comparing it to (as with many things) will depend if it is larger than average, compared to royal caribbean's balconys it is 3 ft smaller than its smallest balcony. However I'm sure if you take into account some of the cheaper cruise lines then yours would be about average.
I think but I could be mistaken, extra to what "Aldrich" said, that this balcony is also overlooked from the floor windows in the Ocean Cafe and Grill, don't want to stop folks eating do we? regards Nei.
Mr and Mrs Down - it is the rooms on dec 9 that you need to avoid because of the 'peepholes' in the floor of the cafe area - I think you are Ok down on deck 7.
Thanks to Aldrich,Hawks,Ida&Neil, seem to have confliting answers, Celebrity says it is 38sq ft, but it looks bigger when you bring up deck plans on internet.Would you please confirm how you know please? No good for topless bathing then?
Trust Aldrich he/she is invariably right on technical stuff. However I'm almost certain that there is a view of that balcony from above but you can take your leotard off if you want......Nei.
As an addendum... topless sunbathing is only recommended on the top deck (Deck 14 I think) but if you're a man most decks allow you to be topless except, quite rightly, where you eat. .....Id.
X/RCI have a habit of putting the same measurements across one grade of room which is totally incorrect - as anyone can see from looking at the deck plans it is blatently bigger. I have read of it being 50-100% bigger from people who have travelled in these rooms - so yes, it is certainly bigger. Northern Europe and topless sunbathing - hummm.
"Northern Europe and topless sunbathing - hummmm " Should you cruise back from Stockholm you will see no end of Swedish scurrying off for cover and sometimes not because they delight in sunbathing au natural, but if we had their winters we might prefer to recharge with sunlight equally as much....Another advantage or disadvantage of having a balcony.....Nei.
