I feel that it is just another way of getting a 'sale' combined with another keen cruiser wishing to go on a sail!!

I would also like to find out that answer too. When we were looking to book earlier this year, every single company we looked at had the "Full Price" and then "Our Price". Travel CO's and Cruise Lines - Just give us the REAL prices to start with. I think most people nowadays are well aware of the marketing cons by companies to get people to buy things.
I agree. Has anybody EVER paid the brochure price?! (I hope not.
Its simply because they think we are stupid.
It is no different to any shop that always offers 50% off.
It must work otherwise they would not do it. See DFS, MFI etc.
So we think we are getting a good deal!
It's all in the game and their price strategy is all at sea.
I could not agree more let all companies start on a level playing field and give the clients the choice to deal with what ever company they with out the hassle of having to shop aroun.
It's a marketing ploy. There are so many people that are taken in by 50% off that we have made it easy for them. The real trick is to be able to recognise the price that you would expect to pay for a particular cruise and cabin etc. and then get your reductions on that price. The wise people reply to "50% OFF" Off what? Let's face it most of us know what we would expect to pay and that's what we pay Regards Leanne Dow.
Gilliland again. Thanks for all your replies.I REALLY wanted an answer from Cruise COMPANIES or THEIR AGENTS--- COME ON NOW--LETS HEAR FROM YOU! Cheers, and Happy Christmas to you all. R.G.
Possibly at first to gain one's attention to what they are offering then as they see the progress of their sales can offer discounts to ensure that the ship will be paying its way and that they will know how many staff they will need.
