I had By Pass Surgery in September of this year and went on a cruise in late October. I likewise had difficulties in getting insurance cover for me. There was either an excessice loading or they would not cover me at all. I eventually got cover from Marks & Spencer Insurance. In additional to the normal insurance cover for my wife and I. They accepted my medical condition at an additional loading of £105. This was put down to it only being 12 weeks since my operation. As I wanted to go on the cruise, I had no alternative but to accept it.
Hi, we had the same problem in sept, but got insurance with saga for my hubby at £105 for the year, which i thought was brilliant, its worldwide but excludes AMERICA.
Have you tried Saga or insure and go, I think both do insurance for existing illnesses but you obviously pay a bit extra on the premium.
Try travelcover.co.uk we use them and my partner has heart problems. You can do it online and they are very reasonable I think his was 27 pounds for two weeks earlier this year!
Try allcleartravel.co.uk, they seem very good.
