Neil and Ida Down - Answered a Question by barker (24 Jul 08 16:46)

In my opinion….. it is a very long haul to Caracas and it is quite a dangerous place and holds little interest for me. Very often the port used for this city is La Guajira which is an equally disastrous port of call and only made because it is cheaper for the ships to fill up their tanks. Nowadays there are other POC in that area which are used and which are a much better bet, so stay in them and give Caracas a miss … Neil.

Sorry, not without looking at what is on offer. I am a keen snorkeller but found nothing of interest when I was there, since then I have studiously avoided that area. Maybe some of the other guys and gals will have better news, I just won't go back there and there are some far better POC than that. I'm sure you'll enjoy the cruise though .... Neil .
