US Dollars They did try £ but have gone back to US$ but its a good exchange rate at the moment.

Yes its US$.the best way is to apply for a nationwide credit card , tick the box on your embarkation form ,stating that you want to pay with your own credit card . nationwide give you the full conversion rate ,no extras .
