We took a 2,4 and 9 year old on this ship in june this year. The 2 year old had play sessions at different times during the day - one 45 mins early morning, a crayola painting/colouring session after lunch, and usually one later on. I think they had a later session, but mine was usually in bed by then. There was no dedicated area for these sessions - it was not in the main play areas. They usually made some space in one of the restaurants or the card rooms. I must admit it was a bit limited for 2 year olds - the play stuff was really for younger ones - but at least there was something for them to do. You have to stay with your child at all times during these sessions aswell. Be aware that there is a very small paddling area for little ones with swim nappies - the main h20 zone and all the pools are off limits to non potty trained toddlers.
Hi, thanks for your reply, just alos wondered how you got on in the evenings in particular a meal times as I am really dreading the 2 hour dining session with my daughter as we struggle to keep her still for half an hour at a table at home.
Hi. We took the children to dine in the informal windjammer cafe area - dinner is served at 6.30 to 9.30. They have a good selection of buffet style food. As ours sleep early, we would put them to bed and dine on our own - having the 9 year old and checking them every 20 minutes made this possible. Obviously not everyone would be happy doing this. You can pay for babysitter in cabins, although It could be any one of the crew babysitting - not youth staff. Personally, if you are on early dining i would take her with you - take a pram - and see how it goes. There might be enough going on to entertain her! Hope this helps.
