Find Your Cruise
I have never seen a ship give birth! no matter where she is docked it should be an interesting sight!!!!!!!!
Its the new terminal right in the heart of the city.
Approx 10 mins walk from centre, just next to the Albert Dock.
We went last year and saw the QE2.
Have a wonderful time, we will probably come down and see the ship, may sail on her next May.
It is not in a dock but next to the pier head, possibly the cruise line will have arranged bus / coaches into the city , althrough is only about 10 mintutes walk ( mostly uphill ) .
The ship docks at the new cruise terminal opposite the liver buildings and pier head. You can walk to the centre in ten minutes it is a gentle walk slightly up hill. There are regular buses to the city centre but you really wont need one. Albert dock is worth visiting very interesting. My wife and i have beem many times.
Yesthe Gentlman is right. you will dock at the New terminal by the Liver Building. The Ark Royal is there at the Moment, Sails Tomorrow. and I think they lay buses on for you on Arrival , but as the Gent says , its a short walk to Our New Liverpool one Shopping Centre , which was opened last week.( Phase one really ) enjoy yourself and I hope the Weather is Good for Jim, .
Definitely Albert Dock, the new cruise liner terminal. We are going there that same day for a luncheon onboard her. Hope you enjoy your cruise.
It comes in at the peir head terminal and you can walk to the town in ten minutes if you want hope i have been some help.
Liverpool now has its own cruise terminal, just recently the Saga Rose berthed there and at the moment the Ark Royal is there. It is very easy just to walk into Liverpool from the terminal and it only a short walk to the Albert Dock and the Pier Head.
Hi. I'm from Liverpool. I don't know the actual name of the dock but there's a new liner terminal and its perfectly situated for almost all the major tourist attractions. Almost all within walking distance! The Pier Head, the fabulous new Liverpool One shopping centre, the Albert Dock, the Tate Modeern all alomst within SIGHT of the terminal! Museums, Art Galleries and the Cavern etc are slightly further but still within walking distance. Beatles homes are a bus ride away but local arrangements are available without paying Cruise type fees!
It is worth taking the open-top bus tour around the city (hop on and off at various points of interest, but more than a day's worth of attractions are within walking distance of the place that the ship will be berthed. We will be on her next round Britain trip and one of the highlights for me is to sail into my birthplace (Liverpool) 40 years after leaving it to settle in Derbyshire. The new terminal/berth is directly in front of the famous Liver Buildings so you will have no difficulty in finding attractions close by.
have a good trip.
